Gust Burns on piano and Doug Nufer on book will perform a call and response to the poems.
Doug Nufer writes poetry and prose based on formal constraints. He is the author of four books of poetry, including We Were Werewolves and The Dammed, and seven novels, including Never Again, Negativeland, and Lifeline Rule.
Gust Burns, an improvising pianist, makes music by using multiple procedures, problematizing divisions between performance, score, recording, and text; work that intertwines the conceptual and sonic, critical and affective. His projects include fm series and REAL BOOK.
